More appropriately, Chicago Italian Beef sandwich, from immigrants working in the Chicago stockyards came this seasoned meat roasted over water so that a rich broth is created. House butchered, slow roasted, local pasture raised beef rubbed with herbs and spices. The meat is sliced very thinly, warmed in this rich broth and layered into a roll which can hold its form. It is garnished with Chicago style hot or mild giardiniera which is marinated peppers, cauliflower, carrots, celery, olives, olive oil, vinegar, and oregano sdesigned specically for this sandwich.
