Italian Beef Sandwich

More appropriately, Chicago Italian Beef sandwich, from immigrants working in the Chicago stockyards came this seasoned meat roasted over water so that a rich broth is created. House butchered, slow roasted, local pasture raised beef rubbed with Italian herbs and spices. The meat is sliced very thinly, warmed in this rich broth and layered into a locally baked baguette which can hold its form (Pan'e Dolcetti's is perfect). It is garnished with Chicago style hot or mild giardiniera which is an Italian vegetable relish containing peppers, cauliflower, carrots, celery, olives, olive oil, vinegar, and oregano.

Darn good Chili is regualrly available. We use our ground beef and sausage, tomato and butternut squash. Spicy, but not too much, the kids can manage it. Come try it!

House Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich

Our Pulled Pork is some of the best around!  We use our locally sourced pork, and dry rub it with a mixture of spices.  We then smoke it and slow roast it overnight which gives it an amazing flavor!  There's no BBQ sauce required for this! It's served on a Pugliese roll to soak up the juices with pickles or something pickled (like fennel or radish). Available Fridays and until it is gone!

Sausage

Our housemade sausage is the best around! We use pork, salt, pepper, garlic, fennel, and white wine. We offer them on a sandwich on Saturdays. You can also get a Combo, which is a combo of Italian Beef and Sausage! You can get hot or mild giardiniera on both! Saturday was made for sausage! Thanks Julian for the foto!
